I just woke up from a dream where the last vignette was a green lighting display featuring artificial palms that employed semiconductor lighting-- LEDs.
I really like this term. Every time you say LED to someone you have to explain it anyway, so why not talk about semiconductor lighting instead? It's more elegant.
Besides, there is a terrible assoiciation with lead (Pb) based things in the household that should be avoided, eh?
